This journey feels like breathing deeper. We leave Paris behind and follow the road toward Normandy, where the air becomes clearer, the colors softer, and time less demanding. This is a day of contrasts: stone and sea, faith and freedom, drama and calm.

Our first stop is Rouen, the historic capital of Normandy. A true medieval city, where narrow streets, half-timbered houses, and quiet squares preserve the rhythm of another century. Here rises the magnificent Rouen Cathedral, endlessly painted by Monet, and still overwhelming in its scale and presence. Rouen is also the place where the life of Joan of Arc came to an end. Walking through the city, history stops being abstract. It becomes personal, emotional, and unsettlingly close.

Later, the road opens toward the sea, and we arrive in Étretat, the most iconic landscape of the Alabaster Coast. The white cliffs rise dramatically from the water, shaped by wind and time into arches and sharp curves that feel almost unreal. Above them lie the Étretat Gardens, where art, nature, and imagination intertwine. From here, the views stretch endlessly, the light constantly changing, and the world feels wide open.

This day is about stepping out of the city and into a different rhythm. We pause for lunch along the way, enjoy local flavors, and allow the landscape to guide the pace. By the time we return, Normandy no longer feels like a destination. It feels like a memory you did not expect, but will carry with you for a long time.
